Wow, 1915.. That’s such a long time ago. Imagine, living in a house so old? Who would have lived in that place during all those years? We are living in a wooden cottage at the moment. It’s not that old but even so I’m already wondering who has lived here, who painted the window frames that weird red color or who built the first level on top of the house. Our home is sort of caravan with rooms glued to it (yup, serious!) but this detached house in Delft is something different.
Marlies and Raymon are the owners of this beautiful house. After a long search the found this authentic style house in Delft. The area is attractive and gives you the feeling of a village.
Just like me, the biggest passion of Marlies is interior and design from when she was young. She worked for Van Der Linde Interior for a long time and got inspired. The house has beautiful high ceilings, lots of warmth and a gorgeous vibe thanks to the materials that have been used.
The fun part of the style of Marlies is that not everything is totally new. They also bought old and vintage stuff for in their interior, a combination of modern and robust. For example the kids room has a fun robust wooden cot.
A gorgeous warm and attractive house with neutral colors and materials. Robust walls combined with modern elements, industrial floors combined with design furniture and soft materials combined with rough materials.
A house of contrasts!
