It is sometimes hard to regularly write something about my daily life. Often I see beautiful interiors passing by that I find much more interesting than the parts of my daily life. But now, it is time to write something personal because the past few weeks where so much fun. And busy! Anyway, that’s all now but I will take it a bit more easier soon I think. At the time I’m 34 weeks pregnant and I still have enough energy during the day. Unfortunately I do not always concentrate that well. In my head I am making lists of everything that needs to be done before the baby comes.

The past few weeks were super lovely. During Christmas, we especially visited family in South Limburg and we did eat too much. Between Christmas and New Year we decided to go to friends in Groningen for a few days. We celebrated New Year in Maastricht with other friends. Lots of driving around the Netherlands.

On January 6, 2015 Bas and I decided to commit ourselves to one another. That always sounds so beautiful huh. We wanted to do this because of the baby and especially keep it a beautiful but also small event. Our priorities are not in the grand celebration but rather keep it small and spare the money to see more of the world with the three of us. Apart from the immediate family were our witnesses present there and we had a super beautiful and fun day. A nice start to the new year. Incidentally, this all happened in our town of Maastricht, where we come from both.

To add a little romance to the day we slept in the Townhouse Hotel. A cozy hotel in Maastricht near the train station with all kinds of nice details, designer furniture and cosiness. Very highly recommended. Especially the Hästens beds was amazing!

Now we are a week further and everything seems back to normal. I think that is always so hard during the period after the holidays. Emptiness, silence and the return to normal life. Do you find this also difficult to early January?
