Bohemian interior ideas – LOVE!

Do you also like a bit of expressive style? Then you will find the bohemian style of living maybe as much fun as I do. Decorated in cool colors, vintage items, findings from other countries, and yet also a light and airy interior. At least, that variant of a bohemian interior I love.

Although my own interior is truly bohemian, yet I would like to transform my home to this charming residential style. But how do you do that? I asked myself, so I went to find out! These are the ideas and tips I encountered to create a boho interior.

Bohemian decor and colors

First I want to tell you what colors I often see returning in boho interiors. Azure, greens, warm tones inspired by spices, but also eggplant is a beautiful boho color!

Bohemian interior and materials

Actually, you can also call bohemian an eclectic style. Materials commonly used are: wood, pottery, used wood, fabrics from distant countries.

Bohemian interior and patterns

A boho interior is also called exotic. This is thanks to the many influences from other countries such as Oriental prints.

Bohemian decor must-haves

If you want to buy accessories and elements that belong in a bohemian interior home then you can start with the following items:

  • Kelims
  • Wooden bowls
  • Hanging Plants
  • Cushions with embroidery
  • Exotic plants
  • Pottery
  • Substances from Eastern countries
  • Tadelakt / lime paint

Vintage furniture, findings from a flea market or recycled, natural materials, linen or fabrics with beautiful prints, baskets and canes, rough concrete or a beautiful large palm tree in the living room. These are all components that make an interior into a bohemian interior style.

As I said, I love a light and airy space, so it is good to use a white and neutral basis to create a bohemian décor. Boho living can feel quite dark and crowded, so a light base is refreshing.
