Yummy yummy in december with chocolate salami
Looking for a nice alternative to all those gingerbread cookies and chocolate letters at this time of the year? Then this chocolate salami delicious sweet treat is the treat for you! The salami is simple to prepare, no oven, and looks very impressive and very yummy. As a snack, treat or after dinner, with coffee and tea.
200 grams of dark chocolate into pieces
150 grams of butter
300 grams of biscuits
100 grams of sugar
a sheet of parchment paper
whisk or mixer
Lets get started
Crumble biscuits into tiny bits all over a plate. Then melt the chocolate chips (in the microwave or bain-marie). Put butter, sugar, eggs and melted chocolate in a large bowl and mix with a mixer or whisk until you’ve got a smooth substance. Add the biscuit crumbs and stir them gently into the chocolate mixture.
Place a sheet of baking paper on a flat surface and spoon the mixture on it. Roll the parchment paper with the mixture in it, into a roll. Wrap it while it’s still in a layer of aluminum foil, in order to keep the shape properly around. Place the role at least two hours in the freezer.
To make a real ‘sausage’ of it, you can then re-wrap the chocolate roll in greaseproof paper and some strings around the knots. Let it thaw and you have an original delicacy!
Serving suggestion: with a sharp knife on a wooden board.
