Growing your own herbs and vegetables is getting more and more popular. Why? Because we all really like to eat something from our own garden, it’s healthy and at least we know what we are eating. You could talk about which seeds you are using, because there is a lot about seeds in the press right now. If you are interested, look up Monsanto. You will find lots of news about this big multinational. Something which isn’t so beautiful and happy as my new DIY vegetable garden.
We recently moved into a new apartment. After traveling for such a long time is so great to have your own place again. Our apartment has a small balcony which lays in the sun until 2 pm. Perfect for some vegetables and herbs. As a housewarming gift (although we did not yet organise a party) we got a small glass house.
My dad has a massive vegetable garden which he really maintains very well but this glass house is the best for our balcony and for me. I love to be outside and dig into my plants and stuff.
My DIY Vegetable Garden on the balcony
I’ve planted leek, chive, two types of lettuce, parsley and basilicum in this glass house. I’m hoping they will survive and grow a bit bigger. I’ve planted them in separate pots so they can grow a bit bigger. Have you any idea if this is right what I’m doing?
Also, when do you leave the glass house open and when do you close it?
Next to my glass house I’ve planted three strawberry plants and three tomato plants. The tomato plants are bigger and will get some tomatoes anytime soon but the strawberries will take a while I think.
