From the first of October we will be living in this cute small wooden home. At the moment we are living in a small studio, which is too small for us and the upcoming baby. We found this place about a week ago and I can’t stop thinking about it! At the moment the owners are living in this home with 3 kids so space enough for us.
At the moment they are still rebuilding a lot but from the first of October we can move in and start doing a few adjustments. There are a few things I want to do like painting the walls and a few window frames but I don’t want to change the style of the house.
This is where you enter the house, in the kitchen. There are pegs and a beautiful old dresser which will stay, yaay! We do need to paint the wall behind it I think. The kitchen was build by the owners and has a few cool gadgets hidden in the cabinets and drawers.
We’ve got a view over the garden from the kitchen and the living room. The window you see in the first picture is the one in the kitchen. The kitchen also has a door to the porch/garden and the living room has these double doors to the porch.
From the kitchen you enter the living room which has enough space for our dining table and chairs, couch and sideboard. Eventually we also need the space for a playpen and other kids stuff. The wooden floor is recently been renewed. The things we need to do in the living room is painting the walls and the window frames.
The second floor
The second floor is an attic and has an open space and a separate kidsroom. We want to create our bedroom in the open space and have the baby in the separate room. What do you think? I will show you the separate room..
The second floor- kidsroom
This is the room we want to use as the nursery/kidsroom. The new walls need a color or wallpaper but the basics are fine.
The map of the first floor
To make it all a bit more clear I drew this small and simple map of the first floor. As we can’t change much in the kitchen and guest room, I only want to show you the living room.
Before you start decorating the spaces, it’s important to know what comes where. You need a good and stabile mapping of the room.
What do you think of this map? Should I move the couch to somewhere else? And what about the dining table?
